UNITECH in India's Real Estate Growth

1) Residential
Housing ranges from luxurious condominiums to small flats, individual bungalows to residential complexes. Several ongoing residential projects are running successfully in different cities like Delhi, Gurgaon, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, Kolkata, Mumbai etc.
 
UniWorld City in Gurgaon has become a trendsetter of sorts in apartment and townhouse living, where the east and the west meet in architecture and lifestyle. Unitech’s Rajarhat residential project in Kolkata has already created quality benchmarks.

Nirvana in Gurgaon is a Rs. 15 billion (US$ 341.91 million) project, being developed by Unitech. The premium is on incorporating nature in the living style to experience quietude and peace of mind. 2) Commercial

Office space: Unitech has a significant presence in office space.  Some of the best corporate buildings  in Gurgaon like  Signature Towers, Global Business Park, Unitech Business Park, Millennium Plaza, Infocity, Unitech Trade Centre, Unitech World and Unitech Cyber Park  are from Unitech’s table.  They show a strong leaning towards design innovation with a striving for excellence in quality and craftsmanship.

Hotels: The Group has forayed into the hospitality sector in a tie-up with Hotel major Marriott to launch its Courtyard brand of business hotels in Gurgaon, Noida and Kolkata. Unitech Developers and Hotels Pvt Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Unitech Limited recently launched their first project - India’s first ‘Courtyard by Marriott’ project in Gurgaon.

The swanky hotel would have an All Day Dining Restaurant, a Specialty Restaurant and a Bar along with a Swimming Pool, a state-of-the-art fitness centre and spa and other essential requirements for a business hotel. The hotel has been designed by Callison, a leading architectural firm in Seattle, U.S. of the Wall Street Tower and Times Square Building (in Seattle) fame.

The interiors compare to those of Ritz Carlton, Hilton, Le Meridian, Marriott, Taj group of Hotels as the same firm has been roped in. The 199-room five-star deluxe property will open a whole new world of luxurious hospitality services in NCR, introducing the concept of courtyard properties.

3) SEZ 
Like many other leading developers, Unitech has not been far behind in jumping on the SEZ bandwagon. The government has already cleared one of its projects in Haryana, to be spread over 20,000 acres in Kundli, near north Delhi, in the areas of food processing, auto-components and textiles. The Unitech group plans to set up five IT SEZs. Two of them would be located at Gurgaon while one each would be located at Noida, Greater Noida and Kolkata.

It is seeking funding from affiliates of Unitech Corporate Park, Plc, a newly incorporated Company in the Isle of Mann, for investment in real estate projects which includes one Information technology Park and five potential IT Special Economic Zone (SEZ) projects in Noida and Gurgaon in the National Capital Region and in Rajarhat in Kolkata.

4) Infrastructure
Unitech has taken on construction activities including construction of highways, roads, powerhouses, transmission lines, refineries, hotels, hospitals and various types of other buildings in India and abroad.

Its achievements include successful completion of Hubli-Dharwad Bypass Road Project in May 2004 and strengthening of the existing 2 lanes carriageway at Dwarka Project, Phase-I, Gr.III, in New Delhi in February 2006.  The project related to strengthening and paving roads from Kakodara to Bajipura, Gujarat is to be completed by Jan 2008.
